Adventure Outings: Building Resilience, Connection, and Growth

Adventure Outings are immersive, educational, and motivational experiences designed to provide masculine-identified youth (ages 12-18) with opportunities for growth, self-discovery, and community connection in the greater Tucson area and surrounding wilderness.

These outings play a crucial role in advancing our mission by:

  • Fostering Resilience – Youth engage in challenging yet supportive experiences that encourage confidence, adaptability, and emotional regulation.

  • Strengthening Healthy Relationships – Through collaboration and shared experiences, participants build trust, practice conflict resolution, and develop positive peer and mentor relationships.

  • Encouraging Personal and Social Growth – Activities are designed to enhance decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving skills, reinforcing the social-emotional learning and restorative practices emphasized in our programs.

Activities include hikes, life skills training, service projects, arts, and physical challenges, all of which help youth cultivate self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and a sense of purpose

These outings are not just recreational, they are strategic interventions that support mental well-being, reduce isolation, and create pathways for healing and empowerment.

Community involvement is essential to the success of our Adventure Outings. We encourage mentors, partners, and supporters to engage in these experiences by offering ideas, sponsorship, and participation.

If you’d like to propose an Adventure Outing or get involved, reach out to us at information@btmtucson.com.

Your input and engagement help create transformative experiences that equip youth with the tools to thrive mentally, emotionally, and socially.
